REP. TIM MILLER SKIPS HOUSE MINI SESSION; LENDS A HAND TO AREA FARMERS

Friday, October 4, 2019

[ST. PAUL, MN - October 4, 2019] While other members of the Minnesota House gathered in Winona, MN and other Southern Minnesota Cities, Rep. Tim Miller (R- Prinsburg) has been busy in his district, driving a tractor and helping with silage harvest for a local farmer. Rep. Miller said, “The heavy rains this season have pushed the timetable back and the conditions in the fields are terrible”. Farmers need all the help they can get in this difficult situation. Originally I planned to go to the Mini Session, but I could not justify taking time away when it is ‘all hands on deck.’”

He added, “No bills were going to be introduced or passed and the Senate didn’t participate so I thought the time was better spent in the fields.”

Rep. Miller had already arranged to pay for his own transportation, food, and lodging during the Mini Session so as not to cost taxpayers. The Mini Session was estimated to cost $100,000.
