MINUTES
Representative Jeff Johnson, Chairman of the Civil Law and Elections Committee, called the sixteenth meeting to order at 10:40 AM on Friday, March 18, 2005, in the Reif Center in the City of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Matt Dean moved approval of the March 16, 2005 Civil Law and Elections Committee minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
Chairman Jeff Johnson moved HF6 (Severson), Proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution by adding a section to article XIII; recognizing as marriage only a union between one man and one woman, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
Representative Severson presented HF6.
