MINUTES


Representative Jeff Johnson, Chair of the Civil Law and Elections Committee called the thirty-fifth meeting to order at 12:37 p.m. March 22, 2006 in the Basement Hearing Room, State Office Building, St. Paul, MN.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Nelson, P. moved approval of the minutes of March 20, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Johnson moved HF 1888 to pass and be re-referred to the Commerce Committee.

HF 1888 (Entenza) Confidential and private data government disposal requirements provided.

Chair Johnson moved Amendment H1881A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Ellison moved HF 3018 to pass, and be placed on the General Register.

HF 3018 (Wagenius) Absentee ballot voting provisions modified relating to public health circumstances.

Representative Nelson, Pete moved to amend HF 3018 as follows:

Page 1, line 1.12 – delete “public” and insert “polling.”
Page 1, line 1.14 – insert after “the” - insert “Secretary of State
after consultation with the”
Page 1, line 1.14 – delete “or” and insert “and”.

HF 3282 (Davids) Liens for storage charges on certain motor vehicles regulated.
