MINUTES
Representative Kathy Tingelstad, Chair of the Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Committee, called the eighth meeting to order at 10:18 am on Wednesday, February 02, 2005, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative McNamara moved the approval of the minutes of Tuesday, February 1, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Tingelstad moved that HF515 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections.
Representative Tingelstad moved the H0515A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDEMNT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Tingelstad renewed her motion that HF515 be recommended to pass as amended and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Kathy Tingelstad moved that HF1 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections.
Representative Tingelstad moved the H0001A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDEMNT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loeffler moved to amend HF1, as follows:
Page 42, line 15, after the period insert "4 Section 5 (Transition) The initial terms of the people appointed under section 244.0515, subdivision 3 clauses (3) and (5) are two years."
THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
Representative Tingelstad renewed her motion that HF1 be recommended to pass as amended and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
