MINUTES


Representative Kathy Tingelstad, Chair of the Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Committee, called the fortieth meeting to order at 1:05 PM on Wednesday, March 01, 2006, in room 300 North of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Diane Loeffler moved the approval of the minutes of Thursday, February 16, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2923 (Seifert) Disruption of funeral, burial, or memorial service prohibited and penalties created.

Representative Seifert moved that HF2923 be passed and be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Policy and Finance.

Representative Seifert moved the H2923A2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Seifert moved the H2923A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Seifert moved to incorporate the H2923A2 Amendment as follows:
Line 1.13, insert before the period “if the protest or picketing could reasonably be construed as intended to disrupt the surviving member’s grieving process”

HF2617 (Davids) Legislative appropriations continued in effect until amended or eliminated by law.

Representative Tingelstad moved that HF2617 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Seifert moved the H2617A1 Amendment as amended.

Representative Seifert withdrew the H2617A1 Amendment as amended.

Representative Tingelstad moved that HF2840 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
