MINUTES
Representative Kathy Tingelstad, Chair of the Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Committee, called the thirty seventh meeting to order at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in the basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

Chair Tingelstad announced that Shirley Koderick was filling in as the Committee Legislative Assistant for today.
Representative Wardlow moved the approval of the minutes of Tuesday, May 10, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
An update of the Department of Veterans Affairs was presented by Commissioner Clark Dyrud.

Representative Tingelstad assumed the gavel at 11:00 A.M.
A legislative overview summarizing the 2005 laws relating to Governmental Operations was presented by Mark Shepard, House Research.
The meeting was recessed at 12:33P.M.
The meeting was re-convened at 1:34 P.M.
A legislative overview summarizing the 2005 laws relating to military veterans enactments by the 2005 Minnesota legislature was presented by Jim Cleary, House Research.
Representative Severson, Vice Chair, assumed the gavel at 2:10 P.M.
A presentation of legislative reform ideas for improved efficiency and effectiveness was presented by Representative Tingelstad, Chair, and Representative Loeffler.
The meeting adjourned at 2:25 P.M.
