Representative Kathy Tingelstad, Chair of the Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Committee, called the fifty-first meeting to order at 10:16 AM on Friday, March 24, 2006, in the basement of the State Office Building.

HF3484 (Westerberg) Boxing commission established and money appropriated.
Chair Tingelstad moved that HF3484 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Committee on Commerce & Financial Institutions.
Chair Tingelstad moved to orally amend HF3484 as follows:
Page 8, delete section 16

Representative Beard moved to orally amend HF3484 as follows:
Page 1, Line 10, after the period, insert “The members shall be appointed by the Governor and subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.”

Representative Kahn moved to orally amend HF3484 as follows:
Page 7, after line 33, insert: “Sec. 16. Deposit Fees. All fees collected by the
commission must be deposited in the special revenue fund. Other than initial start up
costs, the commission must be funded only from proceeds of these funds.”
