MINUTES
Representative Char Samuelson, of the Health Policy and Finance Committee, called the fifty-sixth meeting to order at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Clerk noted the roll.

HF2405 (Nornes) Otter Tail County nursing facility reimbursement rate increased.
Rep. Samuelson moved HF 2405 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Policy and Finance omnibus bill.
Rep. Samuelson moved to amend HF 2405 (see Amendment H2405A1 attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Samuelson renewed her motion that HF 2405, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

HF3374 (Bradley) Disability provision council modified.
Rep. Bradley moved HF 3374 be recommended to pass and be rereferred to the Committee on Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Policy.

HF1203 (Abeler) Ramsey nursing home bed moratorium exception provided by
allowing the relicensure and recertification of beds placed on layaway.
Rep. Abeler requested that the Unofficial Engrossment H1203UE-1 be removed from the table.
The Chair moved the Unofficial Engrossment H1203UE-1 be removed from the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Abeler moved to amend HF 1203 (see Amendment H1203DE1 attached).
Rep. Abeler moved an oral amendment on pages 8 and 9 of Amendment H1203DE1 as follows:
Page 8, line 8.29, reinstate the stricken "or"
Page 9, line 9.6, delete the semicolon
Page 9, line 9.6, delete “or" and insert a period
Page 9, delete lines 9.7 through 9.12
