Representative Bud Nornes, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education, called the fifth meeting to order at 12:35 PM on Monday, January 31, 2005, in Room 300S of the State Office Building.
The Clerk noted the roll.

12:35:00 PM Chair Nornes unofficially convened the meeting.
12:35:36 PM Chair Nornes introduced the Committee Page, Mary Peterson.
12:36:17 PM Chair Nornes welcomed members of the Higher Education Services Office (HESO)
12:37:24 PM Governor Tim Pawlenty's Higher Education Budget Request (see attached)
12:38:21 PM Susan Heegaard, Director HESO
12:41:33 PM A quorum was present. Chair Nornes officially convened the meeting, then Ms. Heegaard continued her presentation.
1:15:38 PM Mark Misukanis, Director of Fiscal Policy and Research, HESO, responded to enrollment and tuition concerns.
1:26:32 PM Rep. Opatz moved approval of the minutes: January 26, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
1:31:40 PM Completion of the presentation.
1:31:49 PM Chair Nornes adjourned the meeting.
