Representative Bud Nornes, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education, called the thirteenth meeting to order at 12:36 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Room 300S of the State Office Building.

12:36:30 PM Chair Nornes called the meeting to order.
12:36:46 PM Rep. Carlson moved approval of the minutes: February 28, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
12:37:04 PM HF67 (Opatz) Tuition reciprocity annual report and renegotiation of certain reciprocity agreements required.
12:37:27 PM Rep. Opatz moved HF67.
12:37:53 PM Rep. Opatz presented his bill.
12:39:33 PM Joel Alter, Legislative Auditor's Office, testified on the bill (see attached).
1:16:55 PM Mark Misukanis, Higher Education Services Office, testified on the bill.
1:25:22 PM Tricia Grimes, Higher Educaiton Services Office, testified on the bill.
1:28:50 PM Chair Nornes laid HF67 over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Finance Omnibus Bill.
1:29:35 PM Rep. Cox assumed the gavel.
1:30:07 PM HF1085 (Nornes) Minnesota State Colleges and Universities student board member selection recommendation deadline modified.
1:30:17 PM Rep. Nornes moved HF1085.
1:30:44 PM J.J. Jouppi, Minnesota State University Student Association, supported the bill.
1:33:27 PM Chair Cox laid HF1085 over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Finance Omnibus Bill.
1:33:57 PM Rep. Nornes resumed the duties of the chair.
1:34:37 PM University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus Day at the Capitol.
1:36:53 PM Bob Elde, Dean, College of Biological Science, University of Minnesota gave the presentation.
1:58:40 PM Chair Nornes adjourned the meeting.
