Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee, called the thirty-ninth meeting to order at 9:13 a.m., on Monday, April 11, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Chair Gunther moved HF509 to be before the committee and recommended HF509 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Omnibus bill.

Representative Sertich moved to amend HF1897, line 6, delete "2006" and insert "2005" and line 7, delete "2007" and insert "2006". The motion prevailed and the oral amendment to HF1897 was adopted.

Representative Sertich moved to amend HF668, line 8, delete "city of Grand Rapids and Itasca County for the predesign," and insert "Children’s Discovery Museum for" and delete line 9 and on line 9, insert "furnishing and equipping the". The motion prevailed and the oral amendment to HF668 was adopted.
