Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee called the sixtieth meeting to order at 8:20 a.m., on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

HF3538(Otremba) Crib safety requirements modified.

Representative Wilkin moved to reconsider HF3538(Otremba). The motion prevailed.

HF3538 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Omnibus Bill.


Representative Mahoney moved to approve the Minutes of March 30, 2006. The motion prevailed. The Minutes of March 30, 2006 were approved.


HF4062(Gunther) Economic development and human services programs funding supplemented and reduced for various programs, and forecast adjustments provided.

Chair Gunther moved HF4062 to be before the committee and to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Omnibus Bill.

Representative Sertich moved to amend HF3857, line 9, delete “allow” insert “provide”, and after “computer” insert “during an employee’s regular working hours”. The motion prevailed. Representative Sertich’s oral amendment to HF3857 was adopted.

Representative Mahoney renewed his motion to recommend passage of HF3568 and re-refer to Taxes. Chair Gunther declared that the motion did not prevail. Representative Clark called for a division. The division was 5 in support of the motion and 7 against the motion. The motion did not prevail.

Representative Sertich moved to reconsider the bill in order to make another motion. The motion did not prevail.
