Representative Mark Olson, Chair of the House Local Government Committee, called the thirtieth meeting to order at 1:16 P. M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HORNSTEIN, Frank moved the Minutes of the twenty-seventh and the twenty-eighth meetings, both held on February 1, 2006, be approved as prepared by the Clerk. THE MOTION PREVAILED
CHARRON, Mike moved the Minutes of February 2, 2006, be approved as prepared by the Clerk. THE MOTION PREVAILED
HF2576 (Knoblach) Local governments prohibited from adopting ordinances which prevent employees from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
OLSON, Mark moved HF2576 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections.

There being 7 ayes and 11 nays, the Hilstrom Motion Did Not Prevail.
GAROFALO, Pat requested a roll call on the Olson Motion.
HORNSTEIN, Frank moved the Olson Motion and HF2576 be laid on the table.
There being 9 ayes and 9 nays, the Hornstein Motion Did Not Prevail
The question reoccurred on the Olson Motion to recommend HF2576 pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections.
