Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the forty-ninth meeting to order at 10:23 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Meslow moved approval of the minutes of March 22, 2006, Public Safety Policy and Finance Meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Smith moved HF3713 (Smith) relating to fire safety account established from revenues on fire premiums and assessments, fire insurance tax abolished, policyholder surcharge established, and money appropriated.
Rep. Smith renewed his motion that HF3713, be recommended, to pass, and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
