Rep. Torrey Westrom, Chair of the Regulated Industries Committee, called the fifteenth meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on April 6, 2005 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Emmer moved approval of the minutes for April 4, 2005. The motion prevailed.
SF 317/HF 519 (Hackbarth) Texas hold'em tournaments legalized as social skill games under certain conditions.
Rep. Westrom moved that HF 519 be brought before the committee for discussion.
Rep. Tom Hackbarth testified before the committee regarding HF 519.
Rep. Westrom moved to amend HF 519 (H0519A1 amendment). The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.
Rep. Westrom renewed the motion that HF 519, be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register. The motion prevailed.
SF 1960/HF 2129 (Beard) Horse racing electronic wagers provided.
Rep. Westrom moved that HF 2129 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Rules.
Rep. Westrom moved to amend HF 2129 (H05-0460 amendment).
Rep. Beard accepted the H05-0460 amendment as a friendly amendment and recommended incorporation into HF 2129. Amendment incorporated.

HF 407 (Sieben) Wireless directory assistance service databases regulated to protect consumer privacy.
Rep. Erickson moved that HF 407 be brought before the committee for discussion and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Telecommunications Bill.
