COMMITTEE ON RULES AND LEGISLATIVE ADMINISTRATION

MINUTES


Representative Erik Paulsen, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration called the thirteenth meeting to order at 12:32 P.M. on Monday, May 2, 2005, in Room 118 of the State Capitol.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

The first matter under consideration was the approval of the minutes from the meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2005.

Rep. Smith moved that the minutes be approved.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE MINUTES FROM THE MEETING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 26, 2005 WERE APPROVED.

The second matter under consideration was the Proposed Supplemental Calendar for the Day for Monday, May 2, 2005.

Rep. Hoppe moved that the Proposed Calendar for the Day be approved.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE PROPOSED SUPPLEMENTAL CALENDAR FOR THE DAY FOR MONDAY, MAY 2, 2005 WAS APPROVED.

The third matter was H.R.12 (Erickson).

Rep. Paulsen moved H.R. 12.

Rep. Erickson presented H.R.12.

Rep. Paulsen renewed his motion that H.R.12 be recommended to be adopted.

The MOTION PREVAILED; H.R. 12 WAS RECOMMENDED TO BE ADOPTED.

The fourth matter under consideration was H.F. 1929 (Klinzing).

Rep. Paulsen moved that H.F. 1929 be recommended to pass.

Rep. Klinzing explained why H.F. 1929 did not meet committee deadlines.

Rep. Paulsen renewed his motion that H.F. 1929 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

The MOTION PREVAILED; H.F. 1929 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND BE PLACED ON THE GENERAL REGISTER.

The fifth matter under consideration was H.F. 2187 (Abrams).

Rep. Abrams moved that H.F. 2187 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Abrams explained why H.F. 2187 did not meet committee deadlines.

Rep. Abrams renewed his motion that H.F. 2187 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

The MOTION PREVAILED; H.F. 2187 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND BE PLACED ON THE GENERAL REGISTER.

The meeting adjourned at 12:35 P.M.
