Representative Ron Erhardt, Chairman of the Transportation Policy Committee, called the Twentieth meeting to order at 8:30 AM on Friday, April 1, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Cox moved approval of HF1243 (Brod) Hybrid vehicles authorized on high-occupancy vehicle lanes, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Rep. Brod presented HF1243.

Rep. Erhardt moved the H1243DE1 amendment to HF1243. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Erhardt moved the H1243A1 to HF1243 as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Nelson moved approval of HF2086(Beard) Metropolitan Airports Commission appointment senate confirmation required, term limits imposed, aviation knowledge and experience required, and nominating committee created, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations.

Rep. Nelson moved approval of AA1 amendment to H. F. 2086, the first engrossment, as follows:
Page 3, delete lines 3 to 6
Page 3, line 7, delete "(d)" and insert "(b)"
Page 3, line 25, delete "(e)" and insert "©"
Page 3, line 23, delete everything after the period
Page 3, delete line 24

Rep. Erhardt renewed Rep. Nelson’s motion that H. F. 2086 be approved as amended and re-referred to the Committee on Government Relations. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Soderstrom moved approval of H. F. 2009(Soderstrom) Motor vehicle registration provisions modified and recommended that it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Rep. Severson moved approval of H. F. 2255(Severson) Motor vehicle insurance company requirements, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions.

Rep. Severson moved adoption of A05-0412 amendment to H. F. 2255. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Severson moved approval of H. F. 682 (Severson) Support Our Troops licence plates and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Higher Education without recommendation.

Rep. Erhardt moved adoption of the following oral amendment to H. F. 682:

Page 14, line 9, delete "(12)" and insert "(13)".
Page 14, line 17, delete "(12)" and insert "(13)".

Rep. Severson renewed his motion to re-refer H. F. 682, as amended, to the Committee on Higher Education without recommendation. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Severson moved approval of H. F. 1529(Severson) Air bag repair or replacement cost, and recommended that it be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions.

Rep. Severson moved adoption of the H1529A1 amendment to H. F. 1529. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
