Representative Ron Erhardt, Chairman of the Transportation Policy Committee, called the Thirty-First meeting to order at 2:40 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Erhardt moved approval of HF3805 (Vandeveer) Shawn Silvera Memorial Highway designated on I-35, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.
Rep. Erhardt moved adoption of the H3805A1 amendment to HF3805. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Vandeveer presented HF3805, as amended.
Presenting testimony insupport of HF3805, as amended, was:

Rep. Erhardt renewed his motion to approve HF3805, as amended, and re-refer it the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Holberg moved approval of HF3637(Holberg) Metropolitan special transportation service requirements regulation provided, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Rep. Holberg renewed her motion to approve HF3637 and re-refer it to the Committee on

Rep. Lieder moved approval of HF1730(Beard) Amtrak; a resolution memorializing the President and Congress to support Amtrak funding, and recommended it be placed on the General Register.
Rep. Lieder moved adoption of the H1730A1 amendment to HF1730. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Erhardt moved approval of HF3759 (Urdahl) School bus equipment standards updated, discipline policies and cost data clarified, and license standards modified, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Education Finance.

Rep. Erhardt brought HF1838(Blaine) Local governments authorized to permit low-speed neighborhood electric vehicles to be operated on residential roadways, off the table and recommended it be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Erhardt move adoption of the H1838DE2 amendment to HF1838. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Matt Burress, House Research, offered clarification of Subdivision 4.
Rep. Erhardt renewed his motion to approve HF1838(Blaine) as amended and that it be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
