BIOSCIENCES AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Tim Mahoney, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:04AM on January 31, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Beard moved that the minutes from January 31, 2007 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Robert Elde, Dean of the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences and Executive Committee Chair of the Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment provided an overview of biofuel research in Minnesota.

Representative Norton assumed the gavel at 10:13AM

Chair Mahoney assumed the gavel at 10:20AM.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:18AM.
