MINUTES
Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:03 P.M. on January 16, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Knuth moved that the minutes from the meeting of January 11, 2007 be adopted.
The motion prevailed
Clint Harris, Director of the Minnesota Lottery, gave a brief overview of the responsibilities and legislative priorities of the Minnesota Lottery. He answered questions from the committee. Also present was Don Fini, a staff member from the Minnesota Lottery.
Tom Barrett, Executive Director of the Minnesota Gambling Control Board, gave an overview of the responsibilities and legislative priorities of the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. He answered questions from the committee.
Richard Krueger, Executive Director of the Minnesota Racing Commission, gave a brief overview of the responsibilities and legislative priorities of the Minnesota Racing Commission. He answered questions from the committee.
Dominic Sposeto gave a brief overview of the state regulation of insurance. He answered questions from the committee.
Susan Dioury, Senior Vice President and Chief Lobbyist for the Minnesota Realtors, gave a brief overview and stated her legislative priorities. She answered questions from the committee.
Robert Johnson from the Insurance Federation of Minnesota gave a brief overview and stated his legislative priorities. He answered questions from the committee.
Joe Witt from the Minnesota Bankers Association gave a brief overview and stated his legislative priorities. He answered questions from the committee.
Mara Humphrey from the Minnesota Credit Union Network gave a brief overview and stated her legislative priorities. She answered questions from the committee.
Scott Lambert and Alyssa Schlander from the Minnesota Auto Dealers Association gave a brief overview and stated their legislative priorities. They answered questions from the committee.
Brad Lehto from the AFL-CIO gave a brief overview and stated his legislative priorities. He answered questions from the committee.
Ann Voda from the American Institute of Architects gave a brief overview and stated her legislative priorities. She answered questions from the committee.
Marty Henschel, Legislative Co- Chair of the Minnesota Land Title Association, gave a brief overview and stated his legislative priorities. He answered questions from the committee.
Keith Weigel from the AARP gave a brief overview and stated his legislative priorities. He answered questions from the committee.
