MINUTES
Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:02 P.M. on January 18, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

Representative Anderson moved that the minutes of January 16, 2007 be adopted.

Mark Streed, Legislative Chair of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
David Skilbred, Vice President of Government Relations for the Independent Community Bankers of Minnesota, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Charles Senkler, owner of Fabulous Fern's bar/restaurant and Jim Thomas, owner of Thomas Liquors, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Carl Cummins, President of the Workers' Compensation Reinsurance Association, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Marcus Marsh, Government Affairs Manager for the Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Ron Elwood, Staff Attorney for the Legal Services Advocacy Project, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Dick Anfang, President of the Minnesota State Building Trades Council, gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
Phil Griffin of Preferred One gave a brief overview and answered questions from the committee.
