Rep. Mahoney moved approval of the minutes of Monday, January 29, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPOVED.
Rep. Rukavina provided priorities of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance Division for the session.
Rep. Murphy, M. provided priorities of the Education Finance and Economic Competitiveness Finance Division for the session.
The bill under consideration:
HF 160 First Engrossment (Hilty) Help America Vote Act account appropriations transfer authorized.
Rep. Kahn moved adoption of the State Government Finance Division Report on HF 160 First Engrossment. (See language at: http://wdoc.house.leg.state.mn.us/leg/LS85/HF0160.1.pdf ). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Hilty moved that HF 160 First Engrossment be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Bert Black, Legal Advisor to the Office of the Secretary of State responded to questions regarding HF 160 First Engrossment.
Rep. Hilty renewed his motion that HF 160 First Engrossment be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Jim Schowalter, Budget Director, Finance Department and Lisa Mueller, Executive Budget Officer presented the 2007 Report of Fastest Growing Expenditures, based on November 2006 economic forecast.
