Representative Carlson, Chair of the Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at
9:10 A.M. on Friday, May 11, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Clark moved approval of the minutes of Thursday, May 10, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Rep. Kahn moved adoption of the State Government Finance Division Report for HF683.

MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Huntley presented HF683 (Huntley) Affordable health care right for every resident
established, and constitutional amendment proposed.
Rep. Huntley moved that HF683 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration.
Rep. Sviggum requested a roll call on the motion.
Voting Aye: Carlson, Clark, Greiling, Hausman, Hilty, Huntley, Jaros, Juhnke, Lieder, Mahoney, Mariani, Otremba, Paymar, Pelowski, Sailer, Simon, Solberg, Thissen, Wagenius
Voting Nay: Anderson, B., Cornish, Hackbarth, Kohls, Peppin, Poppe, Seifert, Sviggum, Westrom
There were 19 Ayes and 9 Nays. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Carlson moved adoption of the State Government Finance Division Report for HF2285, First Committee Engrossment. (See language at http://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/bin/bldbill.php?bill=ceH2285.1.html&session=ls85). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Sertich moved that HF2285, First Committee Engrossment be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.
Rep. Sertich presented HF2285, First Committee Engrossment (Sertich) Natural resource and cultural heritage dedicated funding provided through increased sales tax revenue, funds established, Natural Heritage Enhancement Council created, and constitutional amendment proposed.
Chair Carlson recessed the meeting at 9:54 A.M.
Meeting adjourned based on the convening of the next scheduled meeting.
