Representative Nora Slawik, Chair, called the sixth meeting to order at 4:09 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Basement of the State Office Building. Quorum was not present.

Vice-Chair Bly assumed the chair at 4:41 p.m.

Testified on importance of performance observation and assessment of children.
Dr. Karen Effrem, Policy Analyst and Board Member, EdWatch
Testified on problems with assessments.
Presentation by the Department of Human Services on the Governor's childcare service agreements.
Deb Swenson-Klatt, Manager, Early Childhood Development
Testified on the Governor's childcare service assessments and uses for data.
