MINUTES
Representative Terry Morrow, Vice-Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:15PM on February 27, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Faust moved the minutes of February 22, 2007 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
HF975 (Koenen) A bill for an act relating to education finance; replacing federal comprehensive school reform funds that have been reduced.
Representative Morrow moved HF975 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Finance Bill.
Representative Koenen, Dwayne Strand, Superintendent, Yellow Medicine East Schools, Ramona Gehlert, Prinicpal, Ponemah School, Joey Page, Principal, Sheridan Hills School, Jordan Hinz, student, Yellow Medicine East School, Stacy Hinz, Principal, Yellow Medicine East School, and Denise Harlos, Special Services Coordinator, Shakopee Public Schools, testified.
Representative Brown moved to incorporate an oral amendment to HF975 as follows:
Page 1, line 18, delete ‘$ . . . . .' and insert ‘$2,100,000’
THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Morgan moved HF1080 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Finance Bill.

HF803 (Benson) A bill for an act relating to education finance; creating a pilot program to provide interactive whiteboard technology in school districts throughout the state.
Representative Benson moved HF803 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Finance Bill.
Representative Benson, Kim Hoehne, teacher, Minnetonka High School, Jane Kennedy, Sales Associate, Tierney Brothers, Inc., and Lisa deRoy, Education Consultant, Interactive White Boards, testified.
