Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:20PM on February 20, 2008, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Erickson moved approval of the minutes for February 19, 2008 as corrected:
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
HF2558 (Murphy, M) A bill for an act relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for library accessibility and improvement grants.
Representative Greiling moved HF2558 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Education Finance and Economic Competitiveness Division with a recommended re-referral to the Capitol Investment Committee.
Representative Greiling offered
H2558DE4 as an amendment to HF2558.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Tim Strom, House Legislative Analyst and Greg Crowe, House Fiscal Analyst, provided a briefing of amendment
H2558DE4.
Representative Greiling renewed her motion that HF2558 be passed, as amended, and be re-referred to the Education Finance Division with a recommended re-referral to the Capitol Investment Committee.

Representative Garofalo provided an overview on the K-12 Education Finance Division Permanent School Trust Fund work group.
Representative Dominguez provided an overview on the K-12 Education Finance Division Integration Revenue work group.
Representative Faust provided an overview on the K-12 Education Finance Division School Construction work group.
Representative Greiling provided an overview on the Education Finance Reform Task Force.
