Chair Huntley began the twenty-fifth meeting at 12:44 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.
HF 1405 (Thissen) - Incidental nursing services coverage authorized under the elderly waiver, rate exceptions provided, and elderly waiver reimbursement rate limits increased.
Rep. Thissen made a brief presentation. Also testifying on behalf of the bill were:

Rep. Thissen moved HF 1405 for possible inclusion in the final omnibus bill.
Rep. Peterson moved approval of the March 13 minutes. The motion prevailed.
Rep. Thissen moved the
H1405A4 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Huntley moved HF 1405, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the final omnibus bill.
HF 320 (Anzelc) - Public Employees Retirement Association nursing facilities cost reimbursement methods established, and money appropriated.
The Chair moved HF 320 be recommended to pass.
Rep. Anzelc made a brief presentation of his bill. Also testifying in favor of the bill was:

Chair Huntley renewed his motion that HF 320 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
HF 721 (Fritz) - Long-term care provider rates increased, new nursing facility case mix indices use required, MinnesotaCare employer-subsidized coverage exemption provided, and initiatives and study required.
Rep. Fritz moved HF 721 before the committee and then moved the
H0721A7 amendment and briefly described the history of the bill.

H0721A7 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.
Rep. Fritz moved the
H0721A8 amendment.

HF Howes (1408) - Programs for the all-inclusive care of the elderly (PACE) programs authorization modified.
