EIGHTY-FIFTH SESSION THIRTEENTH MEETING
HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE DIVISION

Chair Huntley called the thirteenth meeting to order at 12:38 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Erickson moved adoption of the February 8 minutes. The motion prevailed and the minutes were adopted.
Deputy Commissioner Christine Bronson spoke to the issue of agency-wide functions at the Department of Human Services, specifically the Financial Operations area.
Assistant Commissioner Tim Wilkin spoke on the issue of Legal and Regulatory Compliance at the Department of Human Services.
Commissioners Bronson and Wilkin responded to questions of the members. Jerry Kerber, Licensing Division Director, came to the table to respond to a question as well.
Brian Osberg, Assistant Commissioner, spoke on the Health Care Programs area, Department of Human Services, and responded to questions of the members, as did Ms. Zimmerman-Enger and Ms. Henry below.
During Commissioner Osberg's testimony, Vice-Chair Hosch took the gavel at 1:16 and Chair Huntley resumed the chair at 1:17.
Marie Zimmerman-Enger, Budget Manager, Health Care Programs, responded from the audience to a question about loss of dollars due to nonpayment of co-pays from certain people.
Kathleen Henry, Director of Eligibility and Access at DHS, came to the table to respond to questions about their burial exclusion program.
The meeting adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
