MINUTES


Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the forty-first meeting to order at 8:11 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

HF2877 (Paymar) Disarming a peace officer crime established

Rep. Paymar presented HF2877.

Testified in support of HF2877:

A quorum was present at 8:22 a.m.

Rep. Paymar moved that HF2877 be heard.

Chair Olin renewed the motion that HF2877 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the General Register.

Chair Paymar assumed the gavel at 8:25 a.m.

HF3331 (Simon) Retail property and retail establishment under theft definition added, and new penalties created.

Rep. Hilstom moved that HF3331 be heard.

Rep. Hilstom renewed the motion that HF3331 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance supplemental budget bill.


HF3175 (Benson) Attempted robbery penalty increased, robbery involving a motor vehicle crime created

Chair Paymar moved that HF3175 be heard and be considered for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance supplemental budget bill.
