MINUTES
Representative Hornstein, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order
at 2:20 P.M. on, Wednesday, January 24, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Lieder moved that the minutes of Wednesday, January 17, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 147 Johnson, S.
HF 147 Johnson, S. Mississippi River Parkway (MRPC) expiration date extended to 2012. Representative Sheldon Johnson and Andy Golfis, MN -MRPC Commissioner and National MRPC Chairman testified on HF 147. Committee member questions were answered. Rep. Lieder moved that HF 147 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Committee on State Government Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 106 Thissen, P.
HF 106 Thissen. Seat belt violation primary offense provided in all seating positions regardless of age, and seat belt violation fine increased. The following spoke in support of HF 106:

Amend the title:
Page 1, line 3, delete everything after the first semicolon
THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED. Rep. Lieder moved that HF 106 be recommended to pass, as amended, and rereferred to the Committee on Public Safety/Civil Justice. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
