MINUTES
Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of February 20 and February 21, 2007, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The Speaker referred to the Government Operations, Reform, Technology, and Elections Committee the following appointment:
Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board
Bob Milbert
The committee recommended that the appointment be confirmed. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A bill for an act relating to state government; establishing a heating and cooling policy for state building projects funded with state appropriations; etc.
Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 1034 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Energy Finance and Policy Division.
Chairman Pelowski withdrew his motion.
Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 1034 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Chairman Pelowski moved to amend HF 1034 (see attached
A07-0093 amendment).
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Discussion was held.
Chairman Pelowski renewed his motion that HF 1034 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Scheduled for hearing was: S.F.19 (Hilstrom)
A bill for an act relating to metropolitan government; terminating the Legislative Commission on Metropolitan Government; modifying reporting requirements for the Metropolitan Council; etc.
Chairman Pelowski moved that SF19 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Discussion was held.
Chairman Pelowski renewed his motion that SF19 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 A.M.
