MINUTES
Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Government Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:03 A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of June 13 and June 23, 2008, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The presentation on legislative process reform continued.
Mark Shepard, House Research, gave an overview of the document, Floor Procedures/Conference Committees/End of Session: Policy Considerations and Potential Changes.
Discussion was held by members and ideas were again suggested for possible changes related to the legislative process.
Al Mathowitz, House Chief Clerk, answered questions that members raised.
Representative Brod passed out to members of the committee a chart on amendments from the Revisor's Office.

The next committee hearing date was set for July 28, 2008, regarding conference committees.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 PM.
