HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EIGHTY-FIFTH SESSION
LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND METRO AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Debra Hilstrom, Chair of the Local Government and Metro Affairs Committee, called the second meeting to order at 12:30pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Pat Dalton, Legislative Analyst from the House Research Department presented an overview of local government finance, and entertained questions by the committee.
A quorum was present at 12:37pm.
Rep. Hausman moved approval of the minutes of January 8, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Hilstrom placed a revised draft of the rules before the committee for review.
Rep. Dominguez moved that the committee rules be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Steve Woods, Assistant Director of the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources presented an overview of its organization and on watershed management in the state, and entertained questions by the committee.
Chair Hilstrom announced the next meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 17th, immediately following the State of the State address.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:59pm.
