Chair Debra Hilstrom started the 28TH meeting at 3:58 pm on Monday, March 10, 2008 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 3:58 and the meeting was officially called to order.
HF3454 (Jaros): Duluth; Spirit Mountain Recreation Area Authority land boundaries corrected.
Chair Hilstrom moved that HF3454 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
Rep. Jaros presented HF3454 and took questions from the committee.
Kevin Walli, Counsel for the city of Duluth testified on behalf of HF3454 and took questions from the committee.
Chair Hilstrom renewed her motion that HF3454 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

HF3428/SF2909 (Gunther): Modifying right of tenant to pay utility bills.
Rep. Lanning picked up SF2909 in lieu of HF3428 and moved that SF2909 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Kent Sulem, Minnesota Association of Townships, testified on behalf of HF2988 and took questions from the committee.
