PUBLIC SAFETY AND CIVIL JUSTICE POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Mullery, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:35 P.M. on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Tim Dolan, Chief of Police for the City of Minneapolis, gave a presentation on the different levels of crime and the how they are charged.
Representative Mullery asked that members and staff of the committee introduce themselves.
Pete Cahill, Hennepin County Attorney's Office, gave a presentation on the duties of his office and its procedures, followed by a brief question-and-answer period.
Jim Hankes, Chief Public Defender for Ramsey County, gave a presentation on his office’s role and its procedures, followed by a brief question-and-answer period.
Representative Sailer moved that the minutes of January 11, 2007, be adopted.
