MINUTES
Representative Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:04 AM on Friday, January 12th, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Gary Carlson, a lobbyist from the League of Minnesota Cities, gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and city governments in Minnesota.
Steve Peterson, a lobbyist from the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and city governments from Greater Minnesota.
Mark Stephenson, Mayor of the City of Maple Grove, and Dan Donahue, City Manager of the City of New Hope, of North Metro Mayors Association gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and the north metropolitan city governments.
Tom Poul, Lobbyist, and Bill Schreiber of the Municipal Legislative Commission gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and non-LGA receiving suburban cities.
Dave Engstrom, Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of Small Cities, gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and small city governments in Minnesota.
Steve Larson, Mayor and President of the Association of Metro Cities, and Louie Jambois, Executive Director of the Association of Metro Cities, gave testimony about the relationship between property taxes and city governments.
Peter McLaughlin, Hennepin County Commissioner, testified on behalf of the Association of Minnesota Counties about the relationship between property taxes and county governments.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:33 AM.
