Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on April 1, 2008 at 2:30 pm, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Ozment moved to adopt the minutes of March 31, 20089 as presented.

Health, human services, and education forecast adjustments made, and money appropriated.
Representative Solberg removed HF 4023 from the agenda for April 1 and placed it on the agenda for April 2.

Department of Corrections claim settlement provided, and money appropriated.
Representative Ozment moved that HF3360 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
Representative Ozment presented his bill.
Representative Ozment renewed his motion that HF3360 pass and be placed on the General Register.

State government operations funding provided and money appropriated.
Representative Carlson moved that HF1812 be recommended to pass and be placed on
the general register.
Representative Carlson moved to amend (oral) as follows: page 225, line 32 after period insert as follows: "The funds received by the commissioner for the confinement and non-confinement costs are appropriated to this department for these purposes."

A-6-1 as follows: on page 3 , line 3.6 delete the word "screening".

Representative Paulsen moved to amend HF1812 as follows: Page 193, delete lines everything after (b) and insert "Legislative carry forward" and on Page 193 delete lines 2 thru 8 and insert " $1,350,000 is canceled from the legislative carry forward account" in MN Statutes section 16A.281 to the General Fund"
