Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 8:30AM in the Basement Hearing Room.

Representative Eken moved to adopt the minutes of April 20, 2009 as presented.

Amendment to the Budget Resolution
Representative Solberg moved that the Budget Resolution KN-RES-07-2 be amended as follows: see KN-RES-03.

HF2081/HF1169 (Rukavina) Omnibus Higher Education Bill
Representative Solberg explained that committee members will discuss HF1169 and lay it on the table to await SF2081.
Representative Mahoney moved that HF1169 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Representative Rukavina moved to amend HF1169 as follows:
H1169A7.

Representative Mahoney moved an oral amendment to A8 as follows: On line 1.2, Page 5, line 6 delete $500,000 and insert $600,000

Rep Mahoney moves that the language in SF2081 be stricken and replaced with the language in HF1169.
