Representative Carlson, Chair of the Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:09 P.M. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Solberg moved approval of the minutes of Monday, January 12, 2009 and Tuesday, January 13, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Rep. Murphy moved adoption of the Capital Investment Division Report for HF56. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Murphy moved that HF56 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Rep. Hosch presented HF56 (Hosch) Stearns County; Grantee for parks appropriation corrected.
Rep. Murphy renewed the motion that HF56 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Murphy moved adoption of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division Report for HF4, First Engrossment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Murphy moved that HF4, First Engrossment be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Rep. Mahoney presented HF4, First Engrossment (Mahoney) New base period for calculating benefits, and a limited extension of benefits provided.
