Representative Juhnke, Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:34 AM, January 27, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Hamilton moved that the minutes of January 21, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES APPROVED.
HF153 (Davids); 2008 Green Acres law changes repealed.
Chair Juhnke moved that HF153 be heard and laid over for future consideration.

Representative Doty moved that HF10 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the Committee on Taxes.

HF341 (Dettmer); Minnesota agricultural property tax law modified.

HF338 (Kalin); Minnesota agricultural property tax law modified. Establishing a new property tax classification for preservation and legacy land.

H0217DE1 amendment (attached). THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Steve Hinze, House Research, provided testimony on the
H0217DE1 amendment.

Representative Magnus moved the
H0217A1 amendment (attached).
Representative Magnus moved an oral amendment to the
H0217A1 amendment as follows:
delete section 1.5 and section 1.6 and amend the title accordingly.
Representative Mangus moved to strike his oral amendment to the
H0217A1 amendment to include section 1.5 and section 1.6 and to adopt the
H0217A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kiffmeyer, John Hagen (Department of Revenue), William Effertz (Hennepin County Assessor)
Representative Faust moved that HF217, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the Committee on Environment Policy and Oversight. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
