Representative Juhnke, Chair of Committee on Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 10:37 AM, February 16, 2010 in room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Magnus moved that minutes of April 21, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

Representative Doty moved the minutes of January 13, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

HF2916 (Juhnke): Department of Veteran Affairs commissioner role clarified in providing in certain resources for the county veterans service offices

Representative Juhnke moved that HF 2916 be heard and laid over for future consideration.

Jim Golgart, Minnesota County Veteran Service Officers, and Mike Pugliese, Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs provided testimony on HF2916.

Discussion and questions followed.

Representative Juhnke renewed the motion that HF 2916 be heard and laid over for future consideration.

Dave Swantek and Mike Pugliese, Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs presented the State Veterans Cemetery Study.
