Representative Nora Slawik, Chair of the Early Childhood Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 4:38 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hamilton moved that the minutes from Tuesday, February 23, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Dr. Megan Gunnar, Regents Professor of Child Development, Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota

Presentation on "Life Course Development: How Early Childhood Experiences Affect Health and Life Trajectories Across the Lifespan":

Dr. Robert Anda, Senior Scientific Consultant, Centers for Disease Control

Dr. Anda was asked the question: Are criminal behavior and sexual offenses tied with adverse childhood experiences?

Presentation on "The Well-being and Vulnerabilities of Children Age 3 and Younger in Minnesota":

Dr. Richard Chase, Senior Research Scientist, Wilder Research

The meeting was adjourned at 5:58 pm.
