Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:45PM on March 31, 2009, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF2033 (Faust) A bill for an act relating to education; appropriating money for research-based professional development that includes "response to intervention" problem solving.
Representatives Faust, Chris McHugh, Advisory Board Member, St. Croix River Education District, Dr. Ann Casey, Director, MN Response to Intervention Center, and Dr. Lora Dagel, RTI Coach and Early Intervention Specialist, Milaca Public Schools, testified.
A quorum was present at 2:50pm.
Representative Greiling moved that HF2033 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.

HF1702 (Davnie) A bill for an act relating to education; authorizing the commissioner of education to provide grants for concurrent enrollment programs in the same manner as advanced placement and international baccalaureate programs.
