Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:45PM on March 4, 2010, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative McFarlane moved the minutes of March 3, 2010 be adopted.

HF3388(Garofalo) A bill for an act relating to education; providing for prekindergarten through grade 12 education, including general education, education excellence, special programs, facilities and technology, libraries, nutrition, accounting, early childhood education, and state agencies; authorizing rulemaking; appropriating money.
Representative Garofalo moved HF3388 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.
Representative Garofalo and Karen Klinzing, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Education, testified.

A10-2245 as an amendment to HF3388.
THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Garofalo renewed his motion that HF3388, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.
