Representative Tom Rukavina, Chair of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 1:05 P.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2010, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Chair Rukavina invited students present in the audience to come forward to provide testimony regarding their concerns.
Travis Johnson, Vice President, Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA), introduced himself and provided testimony regarding their concerns and the importance of higher education.

Chair Rukavina invited Robert Bruininks, President, University of Minnesota, to come forward to begin his presentation.
Robert Bruininks, President, University of Minnesota, introduced himself and Richard Pfutzenreuter and Peter Zetterberg. President Bruininks provided testimony regarding the mission and the budget of the University of Minnesota.
