MINUTES
Representative Mary Murphy, Chair, called the fifth meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Murphy called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.
A quorum was present.
John Edman of Saint Paul, Director of Explore Minnesota Tourism, testified to the budget and functions of Explore Minnesota Tourism.
Mr. Edman answered questions from the committee.
Lucinda Winter of Edina, Executive Director of the Minnesota Film and Television Board, testified to the budget and functions of the Minnesota Film and Television Board.
Ms. Winter answered questions from the committee.
Sarah Caruso of Saint Paul, President of the Minnesota Children’s Museum, testified to the budget and functions of the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
Ms. Caruso answered questions from the committee.
Michael Garcia of Duluth, President of the Duluth Children’s Museum, testified to the budget and functions of the Duluth Children’s Museum.
Richard Jaworski of Duluth, Director of Operations for the Duluth Children’s Museum, testified to the museum’s annual visitor numbers and transition to their new facility.
Mr. Garcia answered questions from the committee.
Mr. Jaworski answered questions from the committee.
Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of February 2, 2009 be adopted
