Representative Mary Murphy, Chair, called the twenty sixth meeting to order at 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Quinn Cheney of Saint Paul, on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, testified to the meetings currently taking place regarding Emerald Ash Borer
Bob Meier of Saint Paul, on behalf of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, testified to the Mississippi River Critical Habitat Corridor
Kent Lokkesmor of Saint Paul, on behalf of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, testified to the Mississippi River Critical Habitat Corridor
Commissioner Meier testified to the Department of Natural Resources’ views on using parks money for acquisition
Arne Stefferud of Saint Paul, on behalf of the Metropolitan Council, answered questions from the committee
Commissioner Meier answered questions from the committee
Bill Becker of Saint Paul, on behalf of the Lessard Outdoor Heritage Council, testified to land ownership by the United State Fish and Wildlife Service
Mr. Becker answered questions from the committee
