MINUTES


Representative Mary Murphy, Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:10 P.M. on September 8, 2009, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

Greg Hubinger, Director of the Legislative Coordinating Commission, presented an update on the Web site development appropriated from the outdoor heritage fund, the clean water fun, and the parks and trails fund.

The following testifiers responded to M.S. Law Chapter 172 Definitions for Protect, Restore, Enhance:
Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources; Bill Becker, Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council; Jim Lyons, Robbinsdale; and Tom Jes, Plymouth.

Chair Murphy reminded committee members to complete the Legislative Guide assignment. Mark Shephard, House Research, discussed his memo about the Legislative Guide provision and the committee investment goals.

Chair Murphy indicated that Rep. Will Morgan has agreed to be the lead committee person to coordinate the Legislative Guide assignment. Chair Murphy turned the meeting over the Rep. Morgan. Rep. Morgan discussed the assignment and presented a deadline of Tuesday, September 15th (at midnight) to submit the completed assignment.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 P.M.
