MINUTES
Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the twenty-first meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Ward moved the Public Safety Finance Division minutes from March 19, 2009. MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
Rep. Olin assumes gavel.
HF1270 (Paymar) Short-term offender pilot project development required, county of community corrections departments authorized to develop pilot-project for short term offender commitments, and reports provided.
Rep. Paymar moved that HF1270 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
The Chair renewed the motion that HF1270 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

HF1050 (Olin) Short-term offender commitment authorization repealed.
Rep. Olin moved that HF1050 be recommended to ass and be placed on the General Register Register.

After some discussion, the Chair moves that HF1050 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance omnibus bill. Rep. Olin changes his motion that HF1050 be passed and laid over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance committee omnibus bill.
HF1242 (Seifert) Brandon’s Law Established
Rep. Kohls moved that HF1242 be heard and laid over.
