Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the twenty-third meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Hilstrom moved the Public Safety Finance Division minutes from March 31, 2009. MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED AS AMENDED.
HF1242 (Seifert) Brandon’s Law.
Rep. Smith moved HF1242 to be heard and recommended to pass to the committee on Finance, with a recommended re-referral to the General Register.

HF 1126 (Eastlund) Conditional release program for nonviolent drug offenders modified and expanded, program’s sunset extended, and mandatory minimum sentence modified for repeat fifth degree controlled substance offenders.
Rep. Severson, in absence of Rep. Eastlund, moved HF1126 to be heard and considered for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance Division omnibus bill.
